About Shirley Moses

Author and speaker Shirley Moses has spent the past three decades serving in women’s ministry. A native of Texas, Shirley accepted Christ during her early adult years through the local church. With an earnest desire to grow in her faith and pursue God’s plan, Shirley soon attended New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary where she received her Advanced Certificate of Women’s Ministry.

Shirley has a passion to equip women to be proven disciples. In the early 1990’s she launched and developed the women's ministry team at Hagerman Baptist Church in Sherman, TX where she served as director for several years. During that time, she also served as a women’s ministry consultant for the Grayson Baptist Association.

A focal point from Shirley’s ministry is the 15 years spent with LifeWay Christian Resources. There, she conducted extensive training as a ministry multiplier for women’s ministry. She authored numerous and varied articles for Lifeway as well as wrote content for Lifeway’s website. Shirley was one of the writers of the LifeWay Press publication, Transformed Lives: Taking Women's Ministry to the Next Level in addition to the book Heart Friends.

Shirley served as the Women's Enrichment Consultant for the Southern Baptists of Texas Convention and was the Director of the Women's Ministry State Leadership Team. During this time, Shirley started Beyond the Call Ministries which led her to travel across the United States speaking at women's conferences and retreat centers. She is the author of the discipleship bible study resource, All of Me.

Currently, Shirley leads a weekly bible study for women in the Oklahoma City area where she resides. She is a member of Emmaus Baptist Church, Oklahoma City. In addition to serving and encouraging women, she continues to write and develop biblical and discipleship resources as the Lord directs her.
